My Creative Critical Reflect

1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?

My product uses conventions in many ways. Since it is a Crayola add, the environment of the commercial is going to be child friendly and in a school setting. It represents social issues because it emphasizes how Crayola helps kids express themselves. In today's world, some children feel somewhat emotionally isolated. This commercial shows that Crayola can help them express themselves more.

2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?

My product mainly engages with students since Crayola is mainly used by them. A lot of school students need Crayola products for projects and other things. My product would start off with being shared throughout different social media sites like Instagram and Tiktok. I would also distribute them on Tv. This will most likely be on a children channel.

3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

At first, my production skills were near to zero. Thankfully, I already knew about various camera shots. This helped me know exactly what I was explaining when I pitched an idea to my teammates. As time went on, I found that I gained more skills in terms of production. This includes: reliability, critical thinking, attention to detail, and communication.

4. How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware and online- in this project?

My group and I combined our technologies in many ways. One way we integrated them were by staying in contact through Instagram. We sent video clips and shared ideas. This helped us stay focus and in unison. I also used Gmail to send Vanessa clips so that they can be combined to create the final product.
