Concluding Production Of Our Short Film

Image
Hello! Welcome back to another blog. This experience was so fun! Cecelia, Charlie, and I worked so hard on our short film. We cannot wait to share it with you. Spring break is next week so we will be spending the time relaxing and bonding with family. I plan on going to Disney with my family! Hopefully, we can even go to a waterpark. Spring Break couldn't come any sooner! I'm so excited to go on my favorite rides. Hopefully, spring break will be peaceful and I can just relax.  The thought of not having to wake up early for a week is music to my ears. I'm excited to finally have some free time to pursue my hobbies and interests. The thought of spending a lazy afternoon by the pool or on the beach is pure bliss. I'm thrilled that I finished my production blogs on time, so I can fully enjoy my break without any looming deadlines. After Spring break, I will publish my storyboard packet! That's in about 2 weeks! We're working so hard on it that I cann

Finishing up Filming!

Good morning! Welcome back to my blog. Previously, I talked about Cecelia, Charlie, and I editing the film together. Everything has been going smoothly!  I am really happy with the results so far. However, we still have to finish filming and organize our intro. I suggested that we split up the scenes to edit. I think our biggest obstacle right now is the intro. Since it is the first thing the audience sees, it must be perfect. Even if it is not perfect, its important that we try to make it the best it can be! Therefore, I have been looking for inspiration. Apps like YouTube and Tiktok are really helpful for intro inspiration. I think that Youtube is better though. Youtube has more information and detailed step-by-step tutorials. Additionally, a lot of short films are posted on Youtube. This means that I can watch how others make their intro fit their short film. I'm so excited to see how my intro will turn out! I will keep you posted! See you soon!

Editing Our Movie Together!

Hello! Welcome back to my blog. Previously, I talked to you about how production was going. It was super fun! The vibes were amazing.  However, we did run into a problem. There are so many videos that Charlie has to edit. Cecelia and I thought that was unfair. So we came up with a really good solution. We decided to split the editing among ourselves. Cecelia and I have our own things to work on in the play. In light of this, Charlie still has most of the editing work between the three of us. However, Cecelia and I helping to edit should alleviate some stress off of Charlie. I already have Capcut on my phone since I am very interested in making cute edits! This background skill made it easier for me to help connect scenes together. I also did pretty well on transitions. Cecelia also downloaded Capcut. Together, we made a lot of progress on the editing. The hardest part is making the intro and outro but I believe my team and I are unstoppable and will overcome th

How Production is Going So Far

Hello! Welcome back to another blog! Previously, I talked to you about filming our short film! It was super fun. I can't wait to film more of the story!  As you can tell from the title, I will be giving you an update on how things are going right now. Charlie has a lot of good shots. Cecelia and I are worried that editing dozens and dozens of shots would be overwhelming for Charlie. We will try to find a solution! In the meantime, I will tell you how things are looking so far. So far, all the scenes look great! We may need to reshoot some but so far everything is looking amazing. We compared our film to the storyboard and it looks pretty accurate. Everything is pretty organized. The app Charlie uses to edit is called Capcut. He is always telling us how much easier it is to edit. Production has been running smoothly. Hopefully, it will continue to be like that if everything sticks according to plan! I will keep you posted! See you soon!

Filming Time!

Welcome back to another blog! Previously, I talked about Charlie becoming our editor. Now, it is time for the fun stuff. We finally found a date that was best for all of us to meet up at the park. I'm so excited!  Right before we started to film, we made sure to treat ourselves and get ice cream! Now everyone is in a good mood. I even feel more productive. Charlie said that he felt happier and more ready to tackle filming. I'm so happy that everyone was able to make it. Charlie took a lot of good shots. We went a bit over the 5-minute mark. Therefore, there will be a lot of trimming down. We were able to record most of our films before the sun got in the way. I'm glad how things came out. We just need a bit more cleaning up to do. We also have to film the ending of the short film. I will keep you posted! See you soon!

Picking Our Editor

Image
Welcome back! Thank you for tuning into my blog. Previously, I talked about taking a break from our short film's productivity. This is because we wanted to study for a major exam coming up. Fortunately, we completed our exam! I think I did very well. Now that it is over, I can focus on other things. Obviously, the short film. Things have been going great! I'm so happy I have a team of dependable people. Cecelia took the reins for the past few days. Recently, we've been talking more about roles. This includes who is going to edit. This is important because this means that the person will have to not only edit the film but use their phone to record all the scenes. My group and I had a very long discussion about who should be the editor. Factors that came into play were: camera quality, knowledge about camera movement, and phone storage. These are major factors that helped us decide that Charlie will be the editor. It makes the most sense because he is not an actor a
