Hello! My name is Zahra. I am super excited to be a blogger! It has been something that has been on my mind for a really long time and I am happy that I can experience this with you all! I was born on a beautiful island named Jamaica and I live with my parents and younger brother. I love to listen to music. Even though all my favorite songs are kind of a mixing pot, I love RnB. RnB music really speaks to me and I love all the creative melodies. During my free time I like to watch anime and read thriller webtoons. I love Shonen anime. My favorite anime at the moment is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Some things that I love about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are the art style and the fact that the author, Hirohiko Araki, incorporates closure in his writing. You do not see that a lot in other animes. Usually an all-time favorite character would just die and the authors would just leave it like that. However, in JoJo, Araki really taps into the emotions of readers by ...
The first short film I watched was “Emilie Muller”, a short film made in 1994. It's about a girl who goes in for an interview and the director talks to her about what's in her bag. I was able to watch this using a website called ‘film short’ which showed me the movie. In the film, there are only diegetic sounds in the film. In the beginning, there is some music that plays but it fades out and is the main focus of the film. It's more shown after one main scene that you can only hear the dialogue between the two characters and any other sounds are from the world where the story is being told. Its shows that with drama films the main focus should be the story and not the music that usually plays in movies. The makeup accents the face and it's natural so it's not heavy on the face. With the costumes, they are clothes that anyone would wear, and they aren't anything different from clothes people would wear on avera...
Pitch 1- A young Black girl witnesses the brutal murder of her best friend and goes on the path of getting justice. This idea was suggested by Kayla, and it seems interesting. It would be easy to pick a setting and costumes would be regular clothes, making it a simpler job. It would also be easy to access any practical effects needed, which would mostly involve blood. They would also need to involve atmospheric sounding, which will be discussed later. It would require a lot of planning to incorporate the required shots, but it is possible. One worrying aspect is a backup plan. If the weather does not cooperate we could just move to another day, but we’re unsure of how that would work out. The script wouldn’t pose much of an issue and props would be minimal. The editing would probably be a standard difficulty. Pitch 2- A group of friends decides to explore an abandoned toy factory. At first, it's fun, but the secrets unveiled prove to be fatal. This pitch is...
