Our Screenplay For The Short Film

Settings: park 

Time setting: 2022 


Script: 

(We open in on the park with a fade in with sounds of birds in the background. It's a bright and sunny day and we open in on a young girl walking by herself through the park. She appears sad and alone with a frown on her face. We do a zoom in to her where we keep on her walking through the park. We see her sighing and while walking deeper into the park she almost runs into another girl)


Aria( nervous and frantic): I am SO sorry, i wasn't looking a-and i completely got distracted and-. 


Random girl ( calm and smiling): hey, hey , hey, calm down. It's fine don't worry I get it we all get distracted. 


Aria: Oh thank you, I kind of lost myself. 


Random  girl: don't worry, but are you okay? 


Aria (in warily tone): yeah, im fine dont worry about it, i'll be fine 


(with teary eyes the girl cleary tries to hold it together but we zoom out and see that she falls to the ground and starts crying uncontrollably while the random girl attempts to comfort her) 


(We skip to another scene where we find that they have moved to a bench and are sitting down while aria has calmed down from crying and she's sitting with the random girl)


Random girl(concerned) : are you feeling better 


Aria (sad voice) : Honestly, I'm not. I've had the worst week ever, these girls in my school are just so mean to me and they constantly are harassing me. I've told the teachers but they just take it as me not taking a joke well and it's so frustrating. 


(clips of aria and some random girls harassing her pop up while a voice over happens at the same time)


Random girl: yeah, that sucks 


Aria: yeah it really does, well thanks for listening anyways 


Random girl: how about instead of just listening I help you, i have some experience with mean girls


aria (surprised): Really, you'll help me 


Random girl: of course, what kind of person would i be if i let someone get bullied 


Aria : a pretty bad person i guess 


( the random girl laughs at what aria said)


Aria : by the way I never got your name 


Random girl (playfully) : and I've never got yours either, I don't think its fair that I got to give my name when I don't know yours 


Aria : Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. My name is aria 


Random girl: okay aria my name is Emma, it's nice to meet you. I hope we can be good friends.


Aria: nice to meet you too Emma, and I do hope we can be good friends 


(the camera zooms out as we are unable to hear what they are saying and they start to talk more and hang out. We then do a jump cut to the next scene where Aria is walking home with Emma through the park. They get spotted by a bunch of girls who start walking over to them) 




Aria: oh no, not them 


Emma : what's wrong?


Aria : those are the girls that i told you about, the ones that are bullying me 


Emma : really, they look like nothing we can handle them 


(the girls start walking over)


Mean Girl one: hey the aria what a pleasant surprise, I didn't think ugly girls got out of the house


Mean Girl two: yeah I assumed that losers didn't have friends either, so who is this 


Emma: I'm her best friend and for your information, aria is cooler than both of you combine.


Mean Girl one: excuse me 


Emma : your excused and don't forget that while you are failing your classes and won't get to go to college , my best friend here is passing and will most likely get a scholarship 


Mean Girl two (offended): ugh well at least I'm pretty and popular 


Emma: really, with all that makeup on your face you really think you're pretty


Aria(confidently) : and honestly, you guys aren't even popular, you're just mean and nobody has the courage to stand up to you. It sad how you think it's cool to be rude to people and judge them based on their lives. Maybe instead of doing that you should get your own.


(the mean girls look shocked as aria continues with confidence)


Aria : i'm done with listening to what you think about my hair, my looks, and my intelligence. I know who I am and I don't need other people who don't know me telling me otherwise. Now if you would be so kind as to leave me and my best friend alone that would be 

Very helpful.


(The mean girls clearly offended and flabbergasted proceed to walk away, Aria and Emma look at each other and giggle as they realize that they had best the bullies with words)


Emma : do you see how easy that was, they couldn't even respond to that 



Aria : Yeah, they really couldn't. 


Emma: you really let them had it too with the who speech, i was impressed you did such a good job


Aria : I just let out all of my pent up feelings and frustrations that I have felt about them since the bullying started


Emma : that helps, and I bet that you feel so much better after letting all that out 


Aria : yeah honestly I do, now let's stop talking about them and enjoy our walk through the park 


(while walking through the park the girls chat and have fun together until they come up to a pole with flyers on it. On the flyers there are pictures of Emma saying Shes missing, and then there are news paper clipping of an announcement of the death of Emma Charles)


Aria: Emma what is this, why do these flyers say that you're dead, what's going on-


Aria (frightened): emma?, Emma, EMMA, EMMA 


(as aria turns around emma is no longer there as if disappeared from thin air. With a frightened look on her face she starts running around looking for the mean girls to prove that emma was real)


Aria: Hey!


Mean girl one: what do you want? I thought that you werent gonna listen to us any more 


Aria : There was a girl with me right? 


Mean girl two: excuse me 


Aria(shouting) : THERE WAS A GIRL WITH ME RIGHT!


Mean girl one : oh my gosh there's no need to shout calm down 


Aria(sacred and screaming): JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION 


Mean girl one: there was no girl with you earlier you psycho 


Aria (scared): yes there was she was right next to me she spoke to you

Mean girl one: no there wasn't, now leave us alone 


(the girls walk away as aria falls to the ground in disbelief)


Aria : No she had to be real, she had to be real 


(the camera zooms out on aria while she's all alone with nobody else in the park)

Planning For My Music Video

  Song: Somebody I Use To Know Props - For this music video, we decided on going for a story that follows a group of friends that slowly fall apart as one person drifts away. Since we want to capture a scene with the friends on the beach, beach towels, hats and beach balls will be present. Costumes - This part will be very easy in our opinion as we will have regular swimming wear or just causal clothing. Though their will be scenes that won't be on the beach so their might be changes in clothing. For the swimming wear, it will completely up to the actors of what they are comfortable on wearing this shoot. Nothing to covered or revealing will be disagreed upon as the actors concern worths more. I'm sure most outfits people would chose are short pants with a t-shirt.
