Finishing up Filming!

         

          Good morning! Welcome back to my blog. Previously, I talked about Cecelia, Charlie, and I editing the film together. Everything has been going smoothly! I am really happy with the results so far. However, we still have to finish filming and organize our intro. I suggested that we split up the scenes to edit. I think our biggest obstacle right now is the intro. Since it is the first thing the audience sees, it must be perfect. Even if it is not perfect, its important that we try to make it the best it can be! Therefore, I have been looking for inspiration. Apps like YouTube and Tiktok are really helpful for intro inspiration. I think that Youtube is better though. Youtube has more information and detailed step-by-step tutorials. Additionally, a lot of short films are posted on Youtube. This means that I can watch how others make their intro fit their short film. I'm so excited to see how my intro will turn out!   First Scene: Our music video of ‘somebody that I used to know’ will be about a friend group where one of the members began to drift away from being left out. The music video will start off with a flashback filmed at a high angle where everyone within the group is hanging out and playing video games. Introductory Blog For My Music Video

      Hello! My name is Zahra. I am super excited to be a blogger! It has been something that has been on my mind for a really long time and I am happy that I can experience this with you all! I was born on a beautiful island named Jamaica and I live with my parents and younger brother. I love to listen to music. Even though all my favorite songs are kind of a mixing pot, I love RnB. RnB music really speaks to me and I love all the creative melodies. During my free time I like to watch anime and read thriller webtoons. I love Shonen anime. My favorite anime at the moment is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Some things that I love about JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are the art style and the fact that the author, Hirohiko Araki,  incorporates closure in his writing. You do not see that a lot in other animes. Research: How To Make A Short Film

  What is your takeaway from the video?     This was a great video to watch right before my group and I start really planning our short film. Out of the many key points that I’ll remember, I think my main takeaway was about planning. In the video, the speaker starts off by explaining why planning is so crucial. Planning ahead of filming is good because it sets a firm foundation for your short film. The speaker says that to write a good short film, you have to write what you can “pull off”. This means that you have to plan and write according to your budget and the resources that are at your disposal. This will alleviate the stress that will come from not being able to carry out the short film properly or as planned. What good information did you gather while watching it?     We received so much good information as well as tips for making our short film. Aside from my takeaway, other good information that we gathered from the video is that we need to establish a tone for our short film.
