Genres I Would Like to Research

 

    For our group's film, I would really love to research many genres. This is important because I want to be sure of exactly what style our film will have. Picking the best genre will help the audience connect better with our short film's story.

Drama: In films, drama is a category or genre of narrative fiction intended to be more serious than humorous in tone. There are many kinds of drama. The main element in a drama is the occurrence of conflict. This includes emotional and social conflict. Usually, the resolution is in the course of the storyline. Considering that our pitch has a plot twist, this may be a good genre to pick for our short story.

Mystery: A film that revolves around the solution to a problem or a crime. Usually, it focuses on the efforts of the detective, private investigator, or amateur to solve the mysterious circumstances. Using clues, making an investigation, and a clever deduction, the mystery is solved. This genre may be a good fit for our short story, I would love to experiment with a mystery genre!

Fantasy: Films with fictional themes. It usually involves magic, supernatural events, creatures, or exotic fantasy worlds. The genre is considered to be distinct from science fiction films and horror films. However, the genres do overlap. This would be an interesting genre to use for our short story, I cant wait to do more research on these topics!

Planning For My Music Video

  Song: Somebody I Use To Know Props - For this music video, we decided on going for a story that follows a group of friends that slowly fall apart as one person drifts away. Since we want to capture a scene with the friends on the beach, beach towels, hats and beach balls will be present. Costumes - This part will be very easy in our opinion as we will have regular swimming wear or just causal clothing. Though their will be scenes that won't be on the beach so their might be changes in clothing. For the swimming wear, it will completely up to the actors of what they are comfortable on wearing this shoot. Nothing to covered or revealing will be disagreed upon as the actors concern worths more. I'm sure most outfits people would chose are short pants with a t-shirt.
